REGARDING THE BOOK SERIES "RAISING CHILDREN IN CONFUSION" BY ANBOOKS IS COUNTERFEIT
Ho Chi Minh City, November 8, 2023, Anbooks officially announced that the book series Teaching children in confusion by author Le Nguyen Phuong, a book series invested in and owned by Anbooks, licensed by Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House, has been counterfeited.
Anbooks made this announcement based on the results of the process of receiving information from the distribution channel about the fake Teaching Children in Panic book series being sold publicly on e-commerce sites during the period of September 2023. Anbooks ordered the book series according to the link of the provided e-commerce site (1). After receiving the goods and opening the product, we confirmed that it was a fake product (2). We also contacted the units that were publicly selling the Teaching Children in Panic book series according to links from internet searches (3), with the following content: 1/ Are there books? 2/ Are they ready to deliver? 3/ Are there contracts? 4/ Are there invoices?. The feedback from the above 3 units all confirmed: There are large quantities of books (500 - 1000 books), ready to deliver, ready to sign contracts, and invoices are issued (4).
From the above 4 evidences, we have enough basis to announce: The book series Teaching children in confusion has been counterfeited and is being widely distributed in the market.
To provide press agencies and readers with sufficient information, Anbooks would like to provide official information about the book series as follows:
First published in June 2017, the book Teaching Children in Panic was fortunately well received by Vietnamese readers. From June 2017 to the end of 2019, through 5 printings, Anbooks printed 22,000 copies of the book Teaching Children in Panic (volume 1, red cover). In January 2018, Anbooks released Teaching Children in Panic 2 with the first print run of 10,000 copies. The second print run of Teaching Children in Panic in March 2020 was 3,000 copies. In total, Anbooks printed 35,000 copies of the Teaching Children in Panic series, consisting of 2 volumes. In October 2018, the book series was honored to receive the Good Book Award, Written Book category; Education sector, presented by the IRED INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION.
All 35,000 copies of the above books are protected by the Anti-counterfeiting and Reader Interaction Solution (Social books), a solution created, built and tested by Anbooks since 2016 (5- With photos).
Since March 2020, due to the complicated developments of Covid, with a small scale and limited resources, Anbooks has temporarily reduced its operations, suspended investment in new books and maintained distribution on official distribution channels: Fahasa, Tiki, Phuong Nam, and some other agents: Nhung Vi Sao, Ben Nghe, AT Corner, Casa Sunshine... From August 2022 to present (November 2023), Anbooks only distributes directly on the website: www.anbooks.vn ; and on the channels of other official agents.
THEREFORE, WE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE AS FOLLOWS:
- The book series Raising Children in Confusion sold by the following websites is NOT genuine and ILLEGAL (attached image, crossed out).
- Anbooks urgently informs and hopes that readers will be alert to this counterfeit book problem.
