School Psychology Handbook
At a time when many school psychology issues are happening in Vietnam, in order to provide teachers and parents with scientific and accurate knowledge about school psychology for students and teachers, and to raise awareness about school psychology in Vietnam, Anbooks cooperates with the Association for the Development of School Psychology International (CASP-I) to launch the School Psychology Handbook (for teachers - parents - students).
Introduced at the 6th International School Psychology Conference (August 1, 2018 - August 2, 2018) at Hanoi National University of Education, the School Psychology Handbook is built on 6 content axes, arranged according to groups of common problems in increasing age groups to help teachers and parents easily find instructions suitable for the age of their students and children. The 6 contents include:
1. Introduce specialized terms in school psychology.
2. Redefining understanding of: Developmental delay in children; Intellectual disability.
3. Supplement knowledge about diseases - behavioral disorders: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; Autism spectrum disorder; Learning disorders.
4. Guide parents and teachers on how to recognize school-age behaviors such as: School bullying; Addiction to games, internet and social networks; School-age love; Sleep problems; Fatigue and its consequences.
5. Provide appropriate solutions for parents in the following situations: Parents of children who are victims of sexual harassment or sexual abuse.
6. Guide teachers and parents to come up with solutions to problems in relationships with people with anxiety, depression, or those who engage in self-harm or even suicide.
The book was born with the desire to support parents and teachers in recognizing 16 common symptoms of school psychology - behaviors, and at the same time analyze the manifestations and causes, thereby providing solutions. The handbook also provides basic specialized terms (bilingual) for teachers and parents to easily look up, ensuring accuracy - science. This is an important document for the school psychology industry in Vietnam up to this point.
This is also a gift for the new school year that Anbooks and the team of school psychology experts - members of the Association for the Development of International School Psychology (CASP-I) send to teachers and parents, hoping to contribute to improving the current situation of lack of accurate scientific information on school psychology issues in Vietnam.
